What a mammoth task, right? Where to begin and when will it end?
The truth is it will never end, but the task is only mammoth and overwhelming in the beginning. There will always be something to clean up or organize in the house, especially if the rest of the people in the house do not see the value of a clean and organized house.
But once some of the clutter is gone and the systems you put in place start to make sense, the rest of the family will want to keep it that way. It is so amazing to see my children putting things where they belong because they have learned that that is its place, and it is not just being thrown into a drawer because they don't know where it is supposed to go.
Take one area or cupboard at a time, the progress will motivate you to continue the next day or tackle a different area. Trying to do too many spaces at once will be overwhelming and might just make you give up.
I hope you can find some inspiration from the articles, because the hard work to get your house organized is so rewarding. It frees up your time and mental energy for other important things in your life. Stick with it, it is worth it!
